![]() It also had the side dot marker on the binding, which was also filled (not as nicely). My feeling is that this probably happened at the factory and they just filled the hole with wood from the same batch as it really does match perfectly (see close-up pic), but I don't know that for sure. ![]() It looks like there was a fret marker in the 10th fret position at some point, but that has been filled with a really great match to the Brazilian rosewood fretboard. The guitar has been refretted fairly recently and it's a really nice job. It's got a factory wraparound bridge, which is my favorite configuration on these (i.e., never had a vibrola). This is sort of the Epiphone equivalent of the SG Junior of the time. This era of Epiphone guitars was made in the Gibson Kalamazoo factory by the same workers on the same machines. Up for sale is a vintage 1964 Epiphone Coronet in one of my favorite finishes ever, Silver Fox.
